A few minutes south of Las Pocitas, the coast changes pace. Vichayito is a long, quiet beach lined with bungalows and beachfront stays, offering the same sun and sea as Máncora without the bustle of the town centre.

The first thing you notice in Vichayito is the quiet. No bars blasting music, no vendors every ten metres — just beach, horizon, and the sound of the ocean. It’s a long stretch, great for a sunset walk or a horseback ride along the shore, an activity several stays in the area offer.

How to get there

Vichayito is a short mototaxi or taxi ride from central Máncora — close enough to go back and forth in a day if you’re staying in town, and far enough to feel like you’ve changed planet. If you’re arriving from elsewhere, the airports are the same as for Máncora: Talara is the closest, Piura has more daily flights. If you want nightlife or shopping

Staying in Vichayito doesn’t mean staying isolated. Central Máncora is a short ride away, so it’s common to combine both: sleep in Vichayito’s quiet and cross over to town whenever you feel like dinner out, dancing, or shopping.
